Welcome to The Perkins Collection

We offer archival prints of hand-drawn maps - some hundreds of years old - of properties and landmarks all over New England, a delightful documentation of local history.

They identify, not only the locations of homes and neighborhoods, but also the names of the people who lived in them.

Some feature businesses, schools and public buildings. Others locate railroad and trolley lines as well as canals, rivers and streams of the day.

These manuscripts - some ornate, some whimsical, all beautiful - provide a wealth of information for historians, genealogists, researchers and people who just love maps.

The collection contains more than 100,000 pieces, some of which have not been seen in many, many decades. To see if your town is in the Perkins Collection, visit the Towns and Cities in the Perkins Collection page or contact us online or by phone.
